2008 Russellers JFC AGM: Weds July 16TH

******MESSAGE FROM OUR CHAIRMAN*******

As the seasons games have been played and the end of the current football year is here I thought in my capacity as Chairman, I had to say a few words.

As all of you know being Chairman of Russellers FC is for me, a total and complete privilige, I am very proud to be the clubs figurehead, this feeling has grown stronger after the recent matches.
James Corne, Jon Ray and Rob Rankins teams reached their age groups Shield finals which is a great achievment for them individually and for Russellers as a Club. These games were played on the 18th of May and James won their shield 6-1!!!!!!! Richard Ferguson's U9's team had a great result coming top of their league an achievement which was very much celebrated!!!!

Whilst these are truly great feats for Russellers I must take this time to thank each and EVERY team for their consistantly hard work over the past season.
I am really looking forward to shaking hands with each of you whilst presenting you with your medals and cups on the rapidly approaching presentation nights, each handshake will fill me with pride.
Russellers have a lot to look forward to over the next few months, the finals as i've mentioned AND the Mini Soccer Summer Tournament. Dave has given me exciting positive feedback regarding this, to date we have a full house, this again will raise the clubs profile-something I'm very keen to encourage. Dave has concentrated on not just inviting local teams but also teams from all areas which in turn should make for a very competative day!
Let us all look forward to these events and above all lets look forward to the next exciting season for Russellers FC.

Russellers FC are located at The Chislehurst Sports & Country club in Elmstead lane near to Elmstead woods, this home ground replaced their previous grounds at Hextable.

Russellers FC teams range from Seniors all the way down to Under 7's, we run a friendly club with all managers holding a Level 1 and a CPW/CRB certificate.
I (Steve) have only been involved as a committee member for the club for about a year now and I am still astounded by the 'commitment' the committee put into the day to day-week to week-month to month-year to year running of such a large organisation as this. Just as every other club all members and managers etc are purely volunteers but this isn't reflected in their passion which is priceless, just a few examples:
Our Chairman-Dave Pitman is a proud sponser of Russellers who has a son who plays for us too, Dave's time is spent goalside keeping an eye on play most weekends.
Dave Fone is the clubs Vice chairman and club secretary, I challenge you to find another man who knows more about the running of a club as he does-his knowledge is second to none and everyone in the game both from Russellers and beyond has deep respect for him.
Simon Perrot is the clubs treasurer, Simon has been involved with Russellers for years and keeps tabs on the clubs finances-a huge juggling act-a job he gives 100% to! his and Dave Fone's combined club knowledge gives Russellers an enviable edge, both also have sons who play within the club.



The Home Grounds Clubhouse has fantastic facilities with a fully stocked bar and an upstairs hall for hire (this isn't bookable via the team but via Patrick-the most accomodating chap I know) social events are booked throughout the year by the lovely Denise O'Shea-the clubs Social Secretary all of which are very well attended and always a great success.
